My head almost exploded listening to this and I will be excited to see Nate Silver's reaction to Zeigler new work, "Media Malpractice..".

"Quite absurb was my inteperatation of what was being said about me..."

during the election campaign.

My favorite quote "They (the media) would have loved me if I was Obama's VP candidate..."

Palin starts off by again blaming bloggers for spreading "things that are not true."

She continues to talk about Zeigler's documentary, and how she was attacked and lies, and implicitly blames that Obama. As she continues to re-write history like her republican predecessors on the campaign and her interviews.

She "never saw" the final Katie Couric interview. If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska...She attackes the "media elite" for not treating her "right". I wonder who does treat her right, the liar Ziegler?

I guess she also thinks she was running for senator not VP by comparing herself to Caroline Kennedy, and that she was running for national office, not being appointment for a Senate seat.

It's also apparent that she blames the media for her downfall...She probably forget it was the risen she rose in the first place, but who cares about that?

http://www.politico.com/...

"I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope," Palin told conservative filmmaker John Ziegler during an interview Monday for his upcoming documentary film, "How Obama Got Elected." Excerpts from the interview were posted on YouTube Wednesday evening...

Looking back on the Couric interviews, Palin said she knew things were not going well after their first session and asked the McCain campaign to pull the plug on the remaining sit downs but insisted the campaign made her go through with the rest....

"I knew it didn’t go well the first day, and then we gave her a couple of other segments after that. And my question to the campaign was, after it didn’t go well the first day, why were we going to go back for more?" she said. "Because of however it works in that upper echelon of power brokering in the media and with spokespersons, it was told to me that, yeah, we are going to go back for more. And going back for more was not a wise decision either."

She also expressed frustration with Couric’s characterization of her since the interviews. After being shown a clip of Couric complaining to David Letterman that no post-election interviewer has asked Palin why she would not tell the CBS anchor what newspapers she reads, the Alaska governor responded: "Because, Katie, you’re not the center of everybody’s universe."

The whole thing is amazing to watch. She lives in alternate reality. It's very funny, yet very scary. There is no doubt that she wants to be a national player and I personally can't wait. Another dandy is her saying her treatment shows a lot about "our society." Yes, it shows we are scared of people like you, thank god...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

but I am, constantly, at the cluelessness or both Palin and Ziegler.  They just don't get it.  As long as the voting public does, though, I can smile at this nonsense.

My favorite bit was she accuses Fey of attacking Bristol and Levi in the SNL clip, when any 5th grader gets that is a dig at Palin and her narrow-minded hypocrisy.

she's NOT that far from being that Major Player she so craves. She will be a Player in 2012. Maybe THE Player. She's like that rookie right fielder batting .212. Sure, the numbers say he can't hit jack. But he's just not quite in sync with Big League pitching yet. He's "off" just enough to keep him from hitting .312. Thing is, the more at bats he gets the more in sync he gets, and he starts looking like that .300 hitter he was touted to be. That's Sarah Palin. Not ready for Prime Time this time, but she has three years to get ready for next time. That's a lot of at bats to get in sync. And, that's scary. She is taken lightly at our expense.

  •  There is an alternate reality (3+ / 0-)

    snakelass, Pandoras Box, soms

Facts are not important, beliefs are.

Where faith is the dominant factor, all that is needed is reinforcement of one's belief system.  Thus Rove's insistence that his "facts" trumped reality and the entire Republican spin machine.

Today I have read about "New Deal deniers" and it seems that about 90% of what we do here is counter Republican lies/spin.

When you believe in a "higher truth" that is only contradicted at the peril on one's soul, you only look to reinforce that belief; you can brook no challenge.

That explains the continued popularity of the wingnut noise machine.  While the overwhelming majority have (temporarily) awakened to the fact that foxes make lousy henhouse guards, the 29%ers are unwavering.

Factual challenges are "pointy-headed intellectual" arguments.

As things continue to get worse, look for that fanatical core to shrink a bit more, then solidify.  When you hear about the "resurgence of the KKK," for example, (and you will) realize that it isn't about an increase in racist fanatics, it's that that (and other lunatic fringe organizations) will have been reduced to their fanatic core; they will be untroubled by any calls for moderation.

This is why I believe that Palin is truly the rising star of the Republican party.  The behind-the-scenes moneymen who have been running things have almost no popular support.  She is the logical heir to the populist, theocratic movement that the Wall Streeters have been successfully manipulating for so long.  They feel betrayed; their ideology hasn't failed, you see - it was never implemented.

I almost hope that Palin's various and multiple illegalities don't catch up with her.  It's gonna be an interesting 4 years.

criticize Hillary for a "perceived whine"?  My God, I'm not sure when the last time I've heard anyone(certainly not a former candidate for Vice President) whine so much.  Is ANYTHING that went wrong in the campaign her fault?

And her words about Obama having a double standard about "family's off-limits" after his highly classy defense of her when the Bristol story came out really infuriated me. (technically I guess she referred to his supporters, but still -- her clear implication was that he was a hypocrite.)

During the campaign, I had to question whether I honestly didn't like her, or I just wanted her and McCain to lose, causing feelings of dislike.  Now I know.  I REALLY don't like her!
