Kossacks,
Earlier this week I asked for your generous click-power in the 2008 Weblog Awards in the Best Military Blog category. Once again, I come to you for help.
For more than a year I have been posting on DailyKos to help bridge the gap between the military community and the progressive community. A vote for my blog Army of Dude can help, and a win can get me closer to my goal of becoming a journalist in these tough times. It's a plight that has deep ramifications; I'm applying for an internship program at a media organization, and a blog award can definitely put me over the top against more educated candidates. I joined the Army as a middle class kid that needed financial assistance with school. I never counted on a blog to help me get achieve my dream job.
So there you have it. A vote for me is a vote for the future of an ordinary veteran. You can help just by going here and clicking on the circle next to Army of Dude. That's it! Doesn't it feel great?
