Earlier this evening, the most famous man in the country talked to the other most famous man in the country.
According to a transition team press release, President-Elect Barack Obama phoned Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III, to tell him "how proud everyone was for the heroic and graceful job he had done," during yesterday's emergency landing of US Airways flight 1549 in New York's Hudson River.
Obama also thanked his crew and the many people involved in the rescue efforts "for ensuring the safety of everyone on board."
