I and all of us righly celebrate today as we have our hearts filled with hop and expectation that things are going to change.
But change is not just a word, of course, change will not happen magically. Change will come only from us, from innovative thinkers and blue collar workers. Change means sacrifice from most of us and dedication from all of us.
You,me and all of us must be prepared for tomorrow is almost here and the hard, grueling work is still to be done.
Tomorrow we must roll up our sleeves and begin the hard work of rebuilding the econonomic faric of our nation. Of rejoicing the promise of equality annd unity and diversity. Of reclaiming the rule of law.
We must be prepared to make the sacrifices big and small, for there is much more work to be done
We must be prepared that it will not go smoothly and setbacks will come, but that we will keep advancing the progress we enjoy today.
We must be prepared for the criticism, not just from the partisan zeallots of the far right, but from fair-minded intelligent people.
While today we dream...and hope...and cry...we also prepare ourselves for tomorrow's challenges and tomorrow's promise.
