Whether it’s "Change we need" or "Change we can believe in" this is most definitely Change we can enjoy a good guffaw over!
On the eve of Presidet Obama's Inauguration, a pair of pranksters changed the signage of "Bush Street" in San Francisco to "Obama Street" from the Presidio to Grant.
A San Francisco blogger gives us some details:
Local artist Alex Zecca (a friend, and I love his work) very nearly turned Bush Street into Obama Street last night. He and a co-conspirator managed to get all the way from Presidio to Grant before the SFPD "descended with lights and sirens." He managed to stay out of jail, but had to pull all the stickers down.
And the thoughtful pranskters even helped passer-bys with pointers:
There were also chalk drawings on the ground pointing up to get pedestrians to notice the "change."
And the "San Francisco Examiner" reports the good news - "No criminal investigation":
Cars passing through the intersection didn’t seem to have any problem navigating through the altered signage, and a few curious passersby elected to snap up photos of the new moniker.
"I think it’s great," said Oakland resident Laura Page. "I just think it’s in the spirit of the day."

No criminal investigation will be conducted into the alterations, according to Sgt. Lyn Tomioka, spokeswoman for the San Francisco Police Department.
