With the knowledge that all the government websites would soon be changing, in many cases drastically, I downloaded an add-on called ScrapBook for the Internet browser Firefox so that I could record as many domains as possible as they existed on January 20.
The inauguration was a swell of emotion for me, and I figured that because presidential accountability comes from the bottom up, it would be a good idea to record the data. In times past, others and I have relied on Internet Archive to research wiped data, which might sometimes have month long gaps. With this tool, a miniature personal Internet Archive, I can update as often and in-depth as I want.
The new site is, to say the least, sleeker and shinier than I remember. Internet Archive itself is overwhelmed with traffickers seeking to compare the old to the new.
