The email address is letters@washpost.com. My letter appears below; feel free to restate it in your own words. Of course, there's an outrage like this just about every day in the Post, but this one seems particularly egregious.
Michael Gerson is fairer to President Obama than many of his fellow Post conservatives, but his January 21st column proved that he’s not immune to repeating their tired talking points. Why does he insist on saying that Obama is the first "national Democrat" to "admit" that the US is struggling against terror, and why does he describe this as an admission?
Gerson must have a short memory; after all, not so long ago, every Democrat in Congress except one voted to go to war in Afghanistan against al-Qaeda. More recently, Gerson’s favorite president wanted to let the United Arab Emirates run several US ports, and Democrats in Congress stopped him. Who was being soft on terror then?
Thank you for reading my letter.
