Gallup just posted the first rolling three day average approval rating for President Obama.
According to Gallup, President Obama starts his administration with the second highest approval rating of the last 8 presidencies. President Obama's rating is 4 points lower than Kennedy (72%) and tied with Eisenhower for the highest approval rating of a new president.
Only 12% disapproval of his job performance, lower than both W and Clinton. Slightly more people, 21%, have no opinion yet. This number is kind of interesting since it is usually much higher at the very beginning of a new administration. At the beginning of their first terms, the number of people who had no opinion was at 36% for Reagan and 43% for GWH Bush.
Gallup will be posting their daily rolling 3-day average every day at their site.
