So, I just finished listening to Eric Cantor on the Rush Limbaugh show, and it seems that he is bound and determined to listen more to Rush Limbaugh.
I can not express in words suitable how tragically disgusted I am with Cantor, and since he is my Rep -- I am even more disgusted
Below the fold ... find my email to him.
RE: Rush Limbaugh Interview
I just finished listening to Your interview with Rush Limbaugh, and I must say that I am both disgusted and embarrassed.
It seems that You value Rush as more representative of Your constituency than Your very own constituents.
What I found most egregious was that You would agree with Limbaugh that it would be better for President Obama and the Congressional Democrats to pass a bill without any Republican support whatsoever. At the same time that You criticize President Obama for not listening to Congressional Republicans You issue forth a statement that You would rather a divided and divisive state of legislation and legislature would be better than any compromise is nothing short of disgusting.
Rather than recognizing that President Obama and the significant gains of Democratic House and Senate members represents a shift in the electorate and crafting compromise legislation or suggestions, You would rather continue this game of partisan politics.
I am absolutely ashamed of You, and I believe that You owe the people of the 7th Congressional District of Virginia an apology. Rush Limbaugh is NOT Your constituent, and Your embrace of him and his divisive rhetoric does absolutely NOTHING to help the people of this district, the Commonwealth of Virginia or the Country.
As President Obama cautioned You, I too would like to second that suggestion: Stop Listening to Rush Limbaugh, and do something to actually help the people that You represent.
