The Problem With Republicans...is they are Republicans. How long will it take for them to get on board?
If you were to listen to the media you would think there is an American right wing mob clammoring for Republicans to STOP OBAMA. Well think again. Here is the latest polling on job approval ratings for congress.

Has John Boehner forgotten the Democrats picked up seats in the house, seats in the senate and oh yeah, won the largest presidential victory in a generation? Does Boehner not realize with a mandate comes change, big change? Republican petty partisanship ought to take a back seat to effective policy. Basically that was Obama's winning election argument, and he was right. The country is tired of politics as usual and we are ready for for the congress to actually get something done. You know, change. The Republicans need to get this message through their think skulls...and fast.
Obama has brilliantly positioned Rush Limbaugh as the defacto leader of the Republican party. Normal moderate Americans think Rush is a goofball entertainer and do not trust his ideas or character. He is associated with drug addiction, racism and vitriol. Now, Republican house members have taken the bait and fallen in line supporting Rush. Quite a mistake. I believe Rush plays on the Republican proven psychological need to follow a commanding leader. They need to be told what to do and Rush is doing just that. Too bad America is sick of his message.
We don't want to cut taxes for the largest corps and the highest earners in hopes that money will trickle down to our pocketbooks. We don't want a minority party that bargains for inclusion on a bill then walks away like children when they don't get everything they want. We don't want obstruction, we want compromise. Republicans in congress are pollng below freezing. What's more they are digging their heels in. They don't have any outs. At this point, if America succeeds - they fail. They have gone all in betting against Obama but they are underestimating his hand. I suspect just like HIllary Clinton and John McCain they will learn the hard way that Obama and the American people aren't bluffing.
We really do want change.
