Well, it certainly is no secret that what some of us considered a subtle racism being displayed by CNN in their selection of which 'missing person' or 'cold case' files to publicize has now blossomed into fully-fledged and obvious overt racism.
If you are white, middle or upper class, and blonde, then CNN will spare no expense to assist in your criminal investigation.
Today's addition to their 'cold case' watchlist is, yet again, accompanied by an all-too-familiar photograph.....
More after the break.
CNNs LATEST BLONDE CRIME VICTIM
Just a few days ago, another young, white, blonde female enjoyed CNN's largesse in providing a nationwide audience for her case......
And before that, CNN was the 24-hour Caylee Channel - complete with several hour-long 'specials' devoted to bringing her killer to justice......
And before that, it was the missing college coed who ventured to Aruba and became another CNN cause-celebre and yes, she was white, middle-class, and blonde.......
However, considering the astronomical number of black, Hispanic, and Asian women (never mind the men - we are completely invisible to CNN and Nancy Grace if we are crime victims) - and THEIR need for focused attention to THEIR cases, I must assume that CNN and Nancy Grace do not consider them an important enough demographic to bother with.
I have yet to see either Ms. Grace or CNN pay such attention to a Black, Hispanic, or Asian missing person or crime victim.
So - keep up the good work, CNN! Keep that focus on white, middle and upper-class blondes, Nancy!!
At least now we know which type of bread you think your butter must be spread upon. The white kind.
