Tonight on Hardball, Senator Graham questioned the logic of being able to vote on an amendment to the Stimulus Bill within a few hours of receiving the amendment.
Really? If you can't read and respond to an amendment after a few hours then I'm not sure you deserve to collect your paycheck.
Sen. Graham's real issue with the amendment ...
HE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO BARTER FOR HIS VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
REmember when McCain needed to suspend his campaign. This sentiment from Graham reiterates that you've got to be able to do more than one thing at a time. You get the amendment, you read (or more likely you make one of your staffers read it) and you vote on whether you like it or not. What's the complication.
TOo much of our politics have become centered around trading votes for political capital.
Senator Graham - you need to get over yourself and start earning your pay.
