You know, I'm getting plenty tired of hearing about how since no Republicans in the House, and only three so far in the Senate, have voted for their chamber's stimulus bill, that somehow Obama has failed and the bills are not bipartisan.
This is just silly.
Bipartisanship is not a vote total.
Bipartisanship is a process - a process that the Obama administration is fully utilizing.
Explanation after the jump...
Bipartisanship is meeting with the minority party to include them in process of crafting legislation.
Bipartisanship is hearing the opposition's points of difference on proposed legislation.
Bipartisanship is then acting upon the opposition's concerns removing objectionable provisions in the bill, and compromising on aspects of legislation.
Bipartisanship is listening to the minority party, and making concessions even when the majority has the votes to ram the legislation down their throats.
Which of the above is the Obama administration not doing?
