In an odd turn of events, just days after Todd Palin was found guilty of contempt by the Alaska State Senate, Talis Colberg, the Attorney General of Alaska, appointed by Sarah Palin, has resigned. His resignation was effective immediately -- no two weeks notice, he's just outa here.
At this point there is little information as to what caused Colberg's abrupt resignation. Governor Palin's office has issued a statement to the effect that she had not asked for his resignation, and would miss him...yada...yada
Mr. Colberg has recently appeared before the Alaska legislature and was questioned about his role in attempting to block legislative subpoenas relating to the "Troopergate" investigation. Undoubtedly there will be more to follow.
