To be fair he has yet to have his day in court but according to the single source story the investigation has been ongoing for a period of three years. In a heavily red state like Oklahoma there's not a chance that a Republican would be charged with a high-octane crime like this without some bulletproof evidence and some heavy pressure from somewhere up the chain. That part's conjecture of course but unfortunately around here if you're not a Democrat or a regular working stiff then you're pretty much immune from the mundane workings of the legal system. Better known as the Good-ol-boys will be boys system.
As a matter of course the most widely circulated state newspaper The Daily Oklahoman has refused to carry even this much of the story. It's a regular megaphone for right wing shills and red meat fundamentalists and proudly supports God, George Bush and Tom Coburn. Likewise for any video broadcast media in the land of Nope.
Many thanks to Calvin Reese of the Democrats of Oklahoma Community Forum for bringing this story to light and allowing me to cross post it here to share it.
