In 2000 Mark Dayton ran in the primary, spending his own money to defeat the DFL endorsed candidate for senate. He weaseled his way through six years as a Senator and decided not to run for re-election. Now he has decided he needs to be our governor. Excuse me while I stop laughing!
Mark Dayton sent me an appeal to help him become governor of Minnesota.
It had as a return address "info@markdayton.org" , but email to that address bounces back. Congratulations on getting your IT up and running Mark!
Since I couldn't tell him what I though by email, I'll tell him on KOS.
Marks appeals starts with a lie about why he left the senate.
With all due respect, Mark, PLEASE GO AWAY. Minnesota does not want you back!
Mark Spins (Lies):
I want to let you know why I left the U.S. Senate to run for Governor of Minnesota in 2010. It was captured in a recent newspaper picture of the Senate’s Democratic Leader leaving a conference room, where President Obama’s stimulus plan had been stripped of important education and health care funding. He was accompanied by one turncoat Democrat and three Republicans. They had made the critical final decisions, not the other 55 Democratic Senators!
You did not leave the senate to run for governor. You left the senate because you did not have the courage to stand up
for what you believed in and to fight the republicans.
Take me off your contact list. I will oppose you for any future office in Minnesota. Get a job in the non-profit world or something.
Our state needs strong executive leadership now, more than ever before. We used to have a healthy, growing economy.
Yes, we need strong leadership, but that is NOT YOU.
Now we are hemorrhaging jobs; and we lack the revenues needed to fund our schools, highways, health care, environmental protection, and other essential public services. The George Bush, Tim Pawlenty, Republican formula has failed Minnesota. We desperately need a Governor who will lead our state to a better future.
Again, you should have fought Bush while you were a Senator, especially if you knew you would only serve one term. Where was your leadership then?
