Michele Bachmann, who as we all know famously and ridiulously called for the media to investigate members of congress to see how "patriotic" they were, and then denied she said it...EVEN THOUGH IT IS ON VIDEO TAPE!!!, had an interview with a conservative radio show and gave us some new gems with which to mock her while ponder a universe in which this crazay lady gets elected.
More after the fold.
Here is the interview:
Now I apologize up front because I cannot hear the interview, which is 13 minutes long, because the speakers on my laptop are not working. But I can go over some of the highlights as discussed at Minnesota Progressive and at the Washington Monthly.
Let's start with the, IMO, the most beautifully simple quote:
We are running out of rich people in this country.
Lovely, a few things that strike me as being remarkable about this: 1) Is the goal to have as many rich people as possible?; 2) seriously? We are running out of rich people? What does that mean and can it possibly be true?; and 3) If it is true, why in the world would she blame the current administration? It was the frickin' Republicans who destroyed the economy so why doesn't she look in the freaking mirror!!!
Gem #2:
The Community-organizer-in-chief
They still don't get it!! This is NOT an insult, but given that it is meant as an insult it is pretty disrespectful. But actually it is more humurous that here tiny brain would percieve at insulting. God forbid the President works to make Communities strong and healthy and just.
Let's go on:
ACORN - this is a group that's under Federal indictment...
No, they aren't.
Bachmann: ...for voter fraud. ACORN - they've received a total of $53 million in direct Federal Grants since 1994. Do you know how much they're getting under this (the stimulus) bill?
Baker: Like $4 billion, I've heard.
Bachmann: $5 Billion.
Baker? $5 billion?
Bachmann: For ACORN.
No, it doesn't.
A Republican lying? I am shocked to find gambling in this establishment.
We continue our exploration of the mind of Michelle Bachmann:
many members of Congress have "a real aversion to capitalism."
Really? I wonder why? Unfettered Capitalism deserves aversion, but apparently Congresswoman Bachmann loves disastrous job losses, a banking system in crisis, and record home foreclosures.
Continuing:
orchestrating a conspiracy involving the Census Bureau, which the president will use to redraw congressional lines to keep Democrats in power for up to "40 years." When the host said he was confused, noting that congressional district lines are drawn at the state level, Bachmann said Obama's non-existent plan is an "anti-constitutional move."
Bwahahaha! Even the Conservative talk show host had to question Bachmann, who like a great conspiracy theorists just adds to the conspiracy when presented with facts. BTW, I am suprised she didn't accuse the Dems of wanting a 1000 year reign...much like HITLER!!
Furthermore:
the stimulus bill includes a measure to create a "rationing board" for health care, and after the bill becomes law, "your doctor will no longer be able to make your healthcare decisions with you."
Seriously, W.T.F.???? "Ummm, I, as your physician would love to prescribe you Ambien, but first we must put it before the Rationing Board" I mean she is so wacked she finds the standard Republican Talking points too tame.
And finally:
We're literally losing our country.
About the only thing she got right, if by "we" she meant "conservatives/Republicans" are losing their country....one former red state/red district at a time.
Keep the crazy coming Michelle!
