With each passing day, I grow increasingly ashamed that I have to say that Pete (Rep. Moron) Sessions represents my congressional district (TX-32).
It's bad enough that Sessions made a total fool of himself by claiming that GOP opponents of President Obama can learn from the Taliban in their efforts to obstruct the President's agenda.
It's also despicable that Sessions displayed no concern for average folks in my district by voting against the very stimulus bill that create create as many as 7,500 jobs in his district.
More below.
Sessions' statement on his House web site shows further how out of touch he is with folks like me who live in his district who struggle to make ends meet week after week.
Besides repeating the made up claims by other Republicans about funds of ACORN in the bill that don't exist, Sessions told the following outright lie:
"Unfortunately, Democrats in Congress have shut out Republican input for this bill, going so far as to negotiate the House-Senate agreement behind closed doors without a single House Republican in the room.
Did Sessions conveniently forget the efforts of President Obama and others in his administration to reach out to Republicans and seek their input? Or was Sessions so desperate to explain his act of political malpractice by purposely lying about the lack of GOP input for the purpose of damage control?
Whatever it is, Sessions' complete lack of honesty and his willingness to stab our district in the back by voting against providing more jobs in his area prove (as if it hasn't been proven already) that he is a completely unworthy representative of our district and he must be thrown out in 2010.
