You get worried that some lower paid worker here on an H1-B Visa will take your place.
But that was before the insult was added to your injury and you get...
...this letter in the mail:
This letter is to inform you that an inadvertent administrative error occurred that resulted in an overpayment in severance pay by Microsoft. We ask that you repay the overpayment and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to you.
A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the letter to cNet but declined further comment, saying it was "a private matter between the company and the affected people."
Of course, it's private, the company wouldn't want to publicize 1,400 workers giving it the middle finger would it?
