Hi everyone,
I am writing to you today because my wife Tara is doing an extraordinary thing: she is training to run a marathon with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. As some of you may know from me telling you before, Tara lost her mom to cancer on January 3, 2009 after several long and hard years of fighting. Many people would take such a loss lying down, but Tara has decided to do something about it. However, to accomplish her goal, she needs your help.
The LLS will train Tara to run a marathon and in turn, Tara will raise money to support the cause of battling this dreadful disease. Her target, which we can reach if we all pull together, is $5,400.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't hit you guys up for money, especially in today's economy, but my wife has inspired me. In the last twelve months, she has lost over 100 pounds, she has run her first 5K, and most importantly, she has lost her mother and fought through it. As her husband and best friend, seeing her courage gave me no choice but to support her 110%. I hope our daughters turn out to be half the woman Tara has become in the time that we have known each other.
The link to Tara's fundraising page is below. Please consider donating. Any amount gets her closer to her goal and is greatly appreciated.
