Sorry for being a little late on the rescue, everyone. I work nights and haven’t been getting much sleep.
Over at another blog I write at, Blogging For Michigan, terrybankert has been writing about an incident that happened last month at the MDP convention. What first appeared to be a spontaneous protest in support of hotel workers now looks like an intra-union power grab. Go read if you’d like more information. The link goes straight to Terry’s profile, so take your pick of the recent stories to get caught up.
As the followers of the Labor Diary Rescue know, the rescue is put up every Monday and Thursday night. If you want your diary to be rescued, and it’s a pro-union diary with less than 100 comments and hasn’t already been rescued in another diary, I will pick it up as long as you have the word "union" as a tag.
Four diaries are up for rescue tonight. Go below the fold for more.
One of the best (and most underappreciated, imo) labor writers on DKos, Tasini, gives big business a warning in Memo To Business: Only Unions Will Save Your Bottom Line.
Public D has a short but funny diary in LEAKED: Fortune 500 Economic Crisis Strategy Meeting.
Sprinkles has a good diary describing a bad situation with Connecticut school teachers in Gov. Rell wants to dismantle successful education.
And catchlightning has some good news that we’d all like to hear in Union Wins! Republic Windows to reopen Chicago factory.
As usual, treat the comments section as an open thread.
