Carol E. Lee, who broke the story that President Obama uses teleprompters when giving prepared remarks (as wonderfully commented by ElectricVan), has a bit of a scandal brewing herself. It seems, just as she was reporting on the President's technological "crutch", she was bound by her own.
Politico's Carol E. Lee cannot write her columns without a computer.
Noted historian Faux Namington had this to say about it:
In the past, reporters have written their columns on typewriters, or even pen and paper. Using computers is a growing trend, but none are so bound to their use as reporters for online publications. It is a new thing and it frightens me.
Seemingly in agreement with the assessment, the Neanderthal Times (dutifully carved into large stone tablets, not written on computers) had this to say:
Magic box evil! Ug ug!
The Neanderthal Times also commented on President Obama's use of the teleprompter:
Make words appear in air. Bad juju! [here there is a carved picture of a gazelle]
It has become very clear that people who use new technology are definitely bad at what they do, and might possibly be witches of some sort. If we do not put a stop to the use of teleprompters, or computers, our society as we know it will clearly disintegrate.
