I was just on the Free Republic website wherein the racist Freepers were at it again with their blatant expressions of racism, again against Obama. Unfortunately, I can't prove this, as the thread showing this has been pulled. All that is left is this.

What this referred and what had, for a brief monment been on display were a series of outright acist comments celebrating the fact that some moron put a book about monkeys in with a display of books on Obama.
The post that followed this display in the Free Republic and, again, you'll have to take my word for it, said something along the lines of "I want to shake the hand of whoever did this." Others referred to how Bush had been depicted by his political opponents, with the gist being that Obama is thus fair game.
Anyway, while a decent human being would be appalled by such a racist, assolish act, those like the thuggish Freepers, as well as the person who messed with these books so as to do this, demonstrate, yet again, just how lacking in basic decency they are.
All I can say is that this is a logical consequence of the kinds of bigoted, nationalistic, racist right wing extremism that has driven conservatives further to the right. People like Rush Limbaugh and Rupert Murdoch and Don Imus and Sean Hannity simply give voice to this ugliness, but at the same time, help to fuel the flames of hatred.
And finally, the fact that this would be posted, and then quickly pulled by the Freepers powers that be suggests that they are aware that they are likely being monitored, not simply read by Freepers alone.
Incidentally, Barnes and Noble has issued the following apology
Barnes & Noble would like to publicly apologize for what happened in our Coral Gables, Florida store. We believe that a customer played a cruel joke and placed an inappropriate title in the front window of our store, where we were featuring books written by or about President Obama. We want to assure our customers that the book placed by someone other than our booksellers was never intended to be included in our display and was removed as soon as we became aware of the situation. We are looking into it and are taking the steps necessary so that it does not happen again. From time to time customers will move titles from one area of the store to another. In this particular case, we do not condone whatever message may have been intended with the placement of this title in our Presidential display. It certainly was not part of our merchandising and we regret that we didn’t see the placement of this title immediately
