Welcome, my malted barley brethren to Friday Night Beer Blogging. We gather here to discuss the issues of the day, but mostly we'll talk about beer.
This weekly series [posted Friday nights around 7PM CST] started because I chose BSG and beer over a night out. It was the perfect way to pass the time while waiting for the show to start. Sadly, tonight is the last time I can use BSG as my excuse for staying in. As many of you know, the series finale airs at eight.
FNBB, has five static questions that you should answer in your first post, to get the conversation started (well I guess the beer does that, but answer them anyway damnit). These are followed by an additional five questions that change every week regarding other crap.
Okay, grab a bottle opener and follow me below the fold.
>>> Edited to change title. Didn't want any non scifi geeks to get scared off.
- What are you drinking, and if it's prune juice, try a fiber suppliment instead? It tastes way less gross.
- Did you tell anyone you had plans, just so you could hang out on DKos?
- How early did you skip out of work this afternoon?
- Are you going to be fixated on your computer monitor all week[] (as I'm sure I will be), or are you going to do anything interesting? If so, what is it?
- What's your reason for beer blogging tonight?
h/t to a consistant Friday post on Rich Meyer's Capitol Fax Blog, who's title was so excellent, I borrowed it, but I think I'm still good with fair use, because I added night.
Now onto the good stuff.
- How awesome is it that the republicans have done a 180 on people with disabilities, and are now their chief defenders against anyone suggesting they might not bowl well?
- Don't you think CitiBank execs deserve an upgraded executive office space, considering they might turn a profit some time this year?
- Are things getting better [even slightly] for you or people around you, or are they pretty much still shit?
- Are you as exstatic as I am that there is a story on the FP calling out Politico's hackery? I told my dad a couple weeks ago that it was a RWH site, and he said he always thought they were neutral.
- Finally, what excuse should I use now that Battlestar Galactica is no more?
