A short time ago, the Dow closed at 7924--25 points less than the level last seen on January 20, 2009. That was the day Obama became president. As of now, the Dow is up 674 points since Geithner announced Obama's banking plan on Monday. Just as Fox News credited the drop in the Dow since inauguration day to the failure of Obama's economic policies, they have now credited him with saving the economy and our nation.
Earlier in the day, Fox changed their banner from "Obama: A Socialist Sympathizer?" to
Obama Saves the World--and Puppies?
Throughout the day Fox News anchors and pundits applauded Obama's leadership.
Sean Hannity said "There is no question that the Dow is the measure of a man, and that makes Obama--THE MAN. I guess I look kinda short sighted right now. If only I still had Colmes' political insight, I might of have seen it coming."
Glen Beck: "Stand down boys. Our President has got our backs. The world is not gonna end, and the black helicopters have returned to their base. It turns out we couldn't surround a phone booth."
The only contrary opinion was voiced by Bill O'Rielly who said "FUCK, I SAID FUCK IT, I'LL DO IT FUCKING LIVE"
In other news, Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow have both retired. They issued a joint statement stating their opinions were no longer needed or necessary as Obama so clearly had everything under control. They both stated that they want to spend more time with their families. In other MSNBC news, Joe Scarborough interviewed a stuffed moose, confusing it with Grover Norquist.
