With the Justice Department dropping its indictments against Former Senator Stevens, Alaskan republicans, led by Governor Sarah Palin, are demanding for Senator Begich to resign. Huh?
State Republican Party Chairman Randy Ruedrich said Begich should step down to allow for a special election so Alaskans could vote without the "improper influence of the corrupt Department of Justice."
While sane reality based people call this consequences.
Immediately after word of this time/space continuum breaking solution reached Governor Palin's desk, she responded:
"I absolutely agree."
Really? Let that spin around your brain for a moment before speaking...
"Yes."
Can you elaborate...
In an email to POLITICO, Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton confirmed the governor’s position. "She absolutely agrees that there should be a special election," Stapleton wrote. "Stepping down to hold the special election would be the right thing to do."
Time travel.
Palin's bewildering outside the box thinking at work.
She now joins McFly, Bill & Ted, Republican presidential candidates who stumble over each other to be Reagan's incarnate. This is the right thing to do. 2008 was not the Republican Party's year. Why not go to the past to achieve victory. A do over. Heck, lets do best out of 7 until we get the outcome right.
Can you blame her? The results are not just to her preferential outcome, regardless of meaningless "facts" and "laws" broken. We have all experienced this before, and we must accept that. Happens to the best of us. A home's size suddenly expanded by double in size and people leaving unwanted crap at your house such as furniture, massage chair, and more.
Good luck Palin converting your snow mobile to the Delorean.
Update Alaskan Senator Murkowski does not believe in science fiction. Booooo
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, did not call on Begich to resign.
"In light of the good news yesterday, I am sure many of us wish we could turn the clock back to last November," Murkowski said. "Unfortunately, that is not an option."
