There are more rational solutions to the problem General Holder. The policy of arresting and imprisoning more low-level marijuana dealers is an answer that has failed for the last 40 years to solve the problem of violence caused by the black market profits that marijuana prohibition causes.
With 60% of the profits for the Mexican drug gangs are generated by marijuana sales. Perhaps a better solution may be to legalize marijuana and take the profit motive from the criminals.
