My satiric, yet true observation about the sexually confused contingent of Republicans who speak out the loudest about denying others their rights.
What can you say about a group of guys who are overly homophobic but gravitate toward all that is gay? I know some right-wingers are probably raising their eyebrows and/or pitchforks ready to lynch me for making such a claim but deep in their hearts, the gayness is screaming to get out.
Let's take a look at two of the right wing's latest initiatives -- Tea Parties and the 2 Million for Marriage campaign. What self-respecting, heterosexual male would be caught dead having a tea party (even if it is a tax protest) let alone call the act itself "tea-bagging?" Do the Conservatives know what that term means?
The latest right winger campaign against same-sex marriage has to be the most confusing yet sexually frustrated effort by this group yet. The acronym being used for the 2 Million for Marriage initiative is "2M4M" which is also a commonly used acronym for gay male personal ads. M4M stands for "men looking for men" so are they trying to recruit for the gay community or oppose them?
Add on the scandals of notable Republicans such as Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Larry Craig, Bob Allen and Glenn Murphy, Jr., and it reminds me of when I was in high school and would get into fights with guys because they didn't like that I was comfortable being gay. Ironically, that was their twisted way of trying to express their own denied sexuality which was soon revealed after graduation in the local gay nightclub scene.
Right wingers, the sooner you come to terms with your own homosexuality, the happier you'll make everyone including yourselves. Oops, there are already Log Cabin Republicans and they don't seem too happy either. Must be your ideology...
