Hey Jeff, it's Dante Atkins here. You know me--I post as hekebolos on this site. Yeah, it's going great thanks! Say, have you seen all this stuff about your Representative, Jane Harman? Stuff like, the possibility that she offered to lobby for foreign spies in exchange for a committee seat? Or the fact that she agressively lobbied the New York Times not to write a story about Bush's illegal domestic wiretapping, of which she ironically seems to have been a victim?
Or the stuff that's being written today about how Jane Harman's support of the Iraq invasion was very successful in getting anti-war Democrats to do the same?
Yeah, so you've heard about all that? Good, because I've got an idea for you. Yeah, you should sit down.
(more below)
See, Jeff, I've been thinking. This is a solid Democratic district. In fact, Charlie Cook's PVI ratings say that this district is a D+12. That's a pretty safe Democratic district. And Jeff, you live there. it's your district.
So why don't you take a stab at a primary challenge, Jeff? Think about it. Those of us who are at least vaguely familiar with your background know that you could get name ID very quickly because of your background--it would be a big hit with the media.
And lord knows, it seems like you'd be able to do some decent fundraising. And you've got the right...demographic considerations for this district. And consider the fact that in 2006, an unfunded primary challenger to Jane Harman, Marcy Winograd, took nearly 40% of the vote in the 2006 primary.
So why not give it a shot?
And for all the rest of you that are reading this, if you would be willing to pledge to contribute and volunteer for a Jeff Lieber campaign, tip and rec this diary and leave a comment.
How about it, Jeff?
