Talk about completely missing the point and going off the deep end. Again.
The GOP has now decided that the DHS's focus on right-wing extremist hate groups are targeted at them. It speaks volumes that instead of helping stop hate groups, they are deciding to actually defend them and turn this into an attack on veterans; so as to cause more fake outrage at FOX and pray that they can win some more cheap political points.
So today, GOP House representatives are calling on their leaders to ask president Obama for Napolitano's resignation.
Conservative House GOPs think Napolitano should resign because of the release of a report that singled out conservatives as "right-wing terrorists," according to several GOP lawmakers.
If these conservatives think that they are in the same group as right-wing extremists that would like to recruit skilled marksmen for violent acts, then I paraphrase Dr. Maddow - it says more about them that it does about Napolitano.
I hope they are just too blind to see or so much in denial that they can't understand how right-wing hate groups could be so pissed at having an African-American as president that they'd be going all out in trying to recruit members right now... Instead of actually knowing this is true but choosing to look past it because it would be in their best interests to turn this into a political rallying point while hate groups get off scott free and not be the target of any more investigations.
This whole thing reminds me of that brilliant campaign dig Obama threw back at the Republicans when they completely missed the point and tried to turn it into an attack...
It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant.
UPDATE: msmacgyver reminds me that FOX News wants to help shed some light on this as they have a "particular urgency to inform the public about the facts behind the much-discussed assessment."
Because you know, FOX likes to inform the public with facts and all.
