Instead of changing their postions to accomodate the will of the American people the GOP is ready to change their logo from the traditional elephant to this:
Not only has their very own Propaganda staion over at Fox News failed them but their dominance over our AM radio stations seems to have the counter effect on the American public....
We need to have Glen Beck, Bill O'reilly, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh as contrast to what is real and what is fantasy. It gives the normal thinking person a baseline.
I know if I'm thinking anything like those nuts, I need a vaction or to go on good medication...
Fairness doctrine? I say hell no!! give them more right wing outlets to vent. It seems as the Fox News ratings (which they boast as the highest in cable news) increase, their politcal capital and control over real life decisions decreases. This also coincides with their leader Rush Limbaugh's ratings. As his "reported" ratings continue to increase, his postions and party affiliation decrease with only 21% of the public now identifying themselves as Republicans.
Could it be that when they listen to these clowns people realize they are nothing like these guys or share the same ideas they do?
Their latest antic of "tea bagging" seemed to only drum up about 400,000 people nation wide with the help of the right wing noise machine. Hell I think I've been to backyard parties when I was in high school that had more interest than this "new" movement with simple word of mouth and flyers at Kinkos.
I don't worry any more about Fox News or right wing radio. They, like their counterparts in the "new" Republican movement are a dying breed. They offer the contrast the general public similar from what is crazy/nuts to what is normal. Nobody has seemed to have told them what is normal these day.
Let them keep ranting and raving. The right seems to think that if they continue to repeat their postions, tell their same lies and use the 1950s scare tactics of "socialism", "communism" and "facisim" it's somehow going to resonate with the electorate and new generational voters whom have no idea what the hell they are talking about....
Please support more consercative stations and right wing nut job networks to marginalize their party even further. It makes for good tabloid entertainment.
P.S. The new GOP talking point is now arguing that the public had better nominate Republicans to keep a check and balances on the system. So instead of voting for someone who may have closer ideas and interests as yourself, you had better vote for a far right wing neocon....
You can't teach a Sneech!!!
