yeah, i'm a newbie,
a (relative) newbie, to this site, that is .....
but not that new, cause ... i remember .....
I'm droogie6655321 !!!
but you can call me, spartacus ...
but yeah, i'm a newbie,
bein' only about 1 year old, so to speak,
but an old hat, to the blogging world,
just not in these corners,
so let's all keep things in perspective, shall we,
cause i been roamin' the martial art forums
and newsgroups, for over a decade, and though
the political blogs were not my thing, we did
engage in debate, relevant debate, and politics
were a part of it, but not all of it, back in the day,
but yeah, we shared in our own verbal sword bouts,
i assure you, about all things relevant and topical,
(((((and there were NO tags))))
but yeah, we chatted, shall we say,
about the war in iraq (before we went in)
and back in the day, when the newsgroups
and forums were the rage,
we cut our teeth in verbal discourse, even then,
and way way back, in the bulletin boards,
you know, when THE DIAL-UP BBSs, were all the rage,
oh, you don't remember,
well, for us techy's, that is, maybe not for you all,
but, so, yeah, i may be a newbie, here,
a relative newbie,
with a UID that aint so impressive,
like some peoples',
but I been cuttin' my teeth in this virtual world,
since there was a virtual world,
no, i didn't waste (too much) time in those games,
but i played some of 'em, yeah,
but don't dis'em too much,
cause they were your founding forefathers,
in this virtual world, they made all this possible,
the first forays into these virtual communities,
... online friends ...
at 45, i lived the rise of the internet and dialup BBS' ...
so yeah, you wanna talk newbie, we can talk ....
and i can go head-to-head, with the best of 'em ....
.... and respect due, is respect given ....
and this site is a fine collection of highly respectful,
highly knowledgeable, and, from what I can see, highly honorable,
folks and fellows and gals and ladies ...
... lassies and lads ...
~ boys and girls ~
... gentlemen and scholars ...
officers and generals, no less,
soldiers and sailors,
doctors and nurses,
... warriors and healers ...
... dauntingly learned craftsmen ...
and politicians who care, who care to listen ...
governors and senators and congressman,
... statesmen ...
yeah, go figure, statesmen, who'ld a thought,
and olberman, can't forget olberman,
but so, let's keep things in perspective, shall we,
we are forging, here, i believe, a new age,
an age of an awakened active electorate,
yeah, as Obama would say, an AWAKENED ELECTORATE,
what a concept, eh?
organized and smart, well-spoken,
changing the face of media,
because we are a BI-DIRECTIONAL MEDIA,
and so, we are ALL participating in the remaking
of our great nation, a nation ...
of the people, by the people, for the people
so let's keep things in perspective, shall we,
cause John Adams and Abagail Adams would be proud,
and it is he, it is they,
who would call ALL OF US, newbies,
they were writing and speaking,
centuries before ALL OF US,
and THAT and THEIRS are the tradition
from which we ALL hail ~
just so we keep things in perspective, eh, sparkie ....
We are but the next generation in a long and noble tradition, that was forged in the very rhetoric and discourse of our founding fathers ..... and mothers !

ps,
you don't like my poetic writing style,
too bad, i'm a poet, i hate caps,
except for special emphasis,
and who says the word "i" should capitalized,
the word "a" isn't,
and how do you tell the difference
between the number one and the letter "i"
if you can't see the dot, eh?
and what's so great about periods,
i mean, we speak in run on sentences, often,
half thoughts, false starts,
it is the essence of how we communicate,
stream of consciousness,
well, so,
i write that way, sometimes,
i express my best thoughts in this
poetic rambling medium,
that's me,
peace to the out,
Arthur,
