During festivities for Koninginnedag (Queen's Day), a car has intentionally crashed into a crowd watching a parade in Apeldoorn (about 90km from Amsterdam) involving Dutch Queen Beatrix and her family, killing four people and seriously injuring thirteen others.
The car eventually careered into a monument, narrowly missing an open-topped bus carrying the Dutch royals. No members of the royal family were hurt in the incident. The incident was broadcast live on Dutch television which was live reporting the event as Koninginnedag (Queen's Day) is a major holiday in the Netherlands.
Around 11:50 AM (CET) in the morning, just before the bus with the royal family made its last turn towards palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn, a black older model Suzuki Swift crashed through the audience and slammed into a monument, just missing the open-topped bus carrying the royal family. Four people are reported dead, 5 people suffering a major injury, and 8 people are mildly wounded.
Dutch officials said the driver, a Ducth national aged 38 who was seriously hurt in the crash, appeared to have acted deliberately. But after searching the car and his home, investigators have ruled out terrorism as a motive.
The crowds were celebrating Queen's Day - a national holiday in the Netherlands when thousands of people take to the streets to mark the queen's official birthday.

Luckily it wasn't a terrorist attack with a car bomb... otherwise it would have been even more horrendous... now it seems it is "just an other wacko"... and luckily it's not a muslim. Imagine what would have been said had it been a muslim...
