This isn't a typical goodbye rant, as we've already asked the Federal Elections Commission to erase our records in their entirety - thereby assuring that we won't ever be back, and that we really don't want to be here. And we do NOT encourage you to send money. We don't want to be part of this government, and you don't want us to do so. Just read what we have to say, and leave it alone. Besides which, the NSA will be deleting your comments (and keeping any money you do send) very soon.
This is merely what we've experienced over the six months that we've ceased to be relevant to American politics. We thought maybe by sharing, something positive could be gained for the Modern Whig Party, our anointed successors.
The vast majority of Americans are brutally humourless, and extremely intolerant. Let us explain that comment. We understand that it's a symptom of Beltway politics to bring out the worst in people, but Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, both Coasts, the Midwest, and now some of the Mountain States really represent the very worst that people have to offer.
We attempted a couple of pieces of political theater that were satirical, absurd and mean. In that order. That's what we do best, so we staged these events, and waited for other like-minded people to join us in outrage with the faux arguments we made, as they had done many times before.
This was not to be. To our surprise, the vast majority of Americans were either disinterested in what we were doing, or wished to use our stunts as an advertisment for their own, more useful agendas, or simply to ream us out. People who disagree with us are infuriatingly correct, and completely sanctimonious.
When watching our lame attempts at relevancy, instead of passing them by, or simply forgetting about them as any typical Democrat would do, Americans find it their sacred duty to support Barack Obama and the Democrats anyway.
The simple ability to vote and respond to pollsters turns Americans into instant progressives, turning out their pockets to spread crumbs of learning among the "unwashed masses." It's a vast exercise in competence in government, and for all the interesting things that Obama proposes, we're going to be extremely happy once we can't be kicked around anymore.
Back to being an irrelevant part of American politics. It's much more comfortable than pretending to govern, the way we did the last eight years.
