Welcome to Press the Face, a Sunday-morning talk show liveblog where you can respond to the Sunday talks with your opinions, support, refutations, or ravings. The larger goal is to provide meaningful accounts of the the shows for those who are unable to watch them, but it's also an opportunity to share our thoughts in real time as armchair spectators of the sport of political discussion.
There is a belief (or superstition) that famous people die in threes. Jack Kemp, Bea Arthur, and Dom DeLuise now dance together in a better place. Call it as you see it, but we will miss them.
Last week's poll asked whether we should keep "Fareed Zakaria GPS in our weekly lineup. The formatting of the poll title was messed up for reasons I still can't figure out, but the response was clear: Keep Fareed! Since that's the case, I'd like to encourage you to watch and comment on Fareed's show. This diary tends to fall off the Recent list before Fareed's scheduled broadcast, unfortunately, but feel free to search/bookmark/subscribe and revisit the liveblog when he comes on.
And have a wonderful Mothers Day!
A review of the liveblog ground rules may be found here.

A reminder about posting: Please scroll through the Comments section to the blockquote containing the title of the show you're commenting on and post your comment under that. This helps to keep the comments from bottlenecking at the top of the diary.
Also, don't forget to record your nominee for the Money Quote under the blockquote comment of each show.
Let us go then, you and I. . .
