I am so sick and tired of all this whining and moaning from the left about Obama.
"We voted for you", "You said you wanted transparency", "You promised"
whinewhinewhinewhine moanmoanmoan bitchbitchbitch
Sick already!!!!
Are you people so traumatized by Bush that you are suspicious of every little move this Presidentm that you voted in, makes?
I could understand the constant bitching coming from the right but you people are getting on my last nerve!
I know that some of the decisions he makes are hard to take and sometimes hard to understand but come on the man is not Bush.
Everytime he does something that is off from what we think he should be doing, here come the screamers! Rachel, Keith, Cenk on and on and on.
Sometimes it would be nice to think things through before we jump on the man.
Whenever Obama makes a decision that strikes me as strange I always step back a little. I tend to look at the decisions he makes with my mind and not my heart.
I find people on the left get all bent out of shape and all emotional right out of the gate without thinking and it is becoming annoying.
The President is not going to do everything we want or need. Sometimes he has other things to consider that are way bigger than us.
The man is a strategic thinker and he is very pragmatic.
He is not making decisions by tactics and he is not making decisions from interest group to interest group.
The man is President of the whole country not just of the Progressive left.
Whenever he does something that makes both the left and right upset then I know he is doing a good thing.
I also like it when he gets the right upset but that is another diary for another day.
I am glad he decided not to release those photos and I am glad he is going ahead with the commissions to try the prisoners.
I trust his judgement and I trust his thoughtfulness and his thoroughness.
Obama has shown me, so far, that he is not a wimp to be pushed over by anyone and he will do what is best for this country.
Look at how he handled the ASU situation last night in his speech.
He turned the situation on its head and moved on.
He is not vindictive, petty, smallminded or regressive.
The man is always looking ahead and he is much further ahead than most.
I know many progressives feel that Bush and his cabal need to be taken down swiftly. But these things take time and thoughtful deliberation.
Obama is not going to be pushed around by anyone. He is one tough skinny guy.
I am glad that he had the guts to change his mind yesterday.
Remember the last 8 years? Bush kept going even though it was not in the interest of the country. He could never admit a mistake and he could never change course
He was always right.
I for one am glad we have a President who is willing to change course and take the heat for changing said course.
We are still so traumatized by Bush and company that we are treating Obama like he is Bush and behaving in very dysfunctional ways.
We really need to realize that this is a different time and that Obama is going to bring change over time. However, he has alot of crap to clean out first and it is not going to always be pretty or what we want.
Yes, it is ok to speak up when makes mistakes and he has asked us to do so but we really need to be more thoughtful about the way we do things.
People seem to think Cheney being out there is what made Obama changed his mind. I for one do not agree.
I believe he took to heart what the Generals told him and he decided to take their advice.
Would any of u on this board who are so critical want a backlash to happen on his watch from releasing those photos?
What would that accomplish? How would that help?
He is doing the right thing and he is once again thinking in a strategic way.
Wake up and stop thinking and looking for a baby Bush to pop out of his backside. He is his own man and he is a strong, independent visionary and thinker.
Stop looking down at the dirt beneath your shoes and get your heads in the treetops and clouds.
A new day has dawned in this country oh ye of little faith.
Embrace it and move ahead.
