I’m sure the many fans of Craig Ferguson at Daily Kos would like to offer their congratulations and best wishes to him as he turns 47.
I know I want to. So I ask readers to submit their favorite Late Late Show bits, or sexy photos of Craig, or, well, whatever you’d like, actually.
Craig is clearly a Taurus, so here’s his "If today is your birthday" from my favorite, The Star(Toronto):
It appears you have a date with destiny. Within months you will be getting an inkling of how exciting your future will be.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooh!
For those of you unfamiliar with Craig Ferguson, and exactly how this guy fit in on Daily Kos, and why you’re even wasting your time reading this, I invite you to follow below. The rest of you may skip right to posting comments, if you’d like.
Craig Ferguson is a U.S. citizen by choice, and an enthusiastic one at that. During his waiting period, towns, cities and states joined in making him an honorary citizen; (clue evil music, please) could this have been an omen of things to come? Was Craig exposing the first step of a nefarious schemer? You decide.

He was so excited about becoming a U.S. citizen, he talked about it constantly on the Late Late Show...
Craig Ferguson loves America

...and insisted the entire process be documented for his show.

Finally, Craig is an active citizen. Before the elections, he did the best rant ever against not voting:
If you don’t vote, you’re a moron

I could go on, but I think you get my drift. [If you haven’t yet, may I suggest you visit youtube or do teh googles.]
Even now, Craig frequently mentions his U.S. citizenship – you can tell he’s very proud of it.
Now, if you still need more to understand why we have the "Insomniac’s Vent Hole With Craig Ferguson" every weeknight (call outs to Colorado is the Shiznit, Oke, and cactusflinthead, who juggle the diary's duties, and who have been doing a great job!), I offer the following video; I think most of us will agree it’s been the most popular lately.

And if you’d like to know why we at Daily Kos have great respect for Craig Ferguson as a good human being, follow this link to youtube, where you’ll find Father’s eulogy (in three parts – start with Part 1, then decide if you want to watch the others, but be forewarned not to expect comedy).
And here’s the obligatory wiki article.

I’m a fan of Craig’s for lots of reasons, and the above account explains just a few. I must also mention here that I like the following qualities: he’s a cute, intelligent, funny, warm, self-mocking, off the wall, hilarious, unpredictable creator of absurdity, weaver of stories, who likes to cross-dress in the tradition of Great Britain’s finest comedic troupes. Did I mention he was cute?
