This is why I am still leaning conservative when it comes to national security. This is why I am still pro Obama's tough standing on national security, this is why, despite that Bush is gone, it's still important to remain vigilant.
UPDATE: My apology to the Muslims here, I think may be the statement below might have offended a few people. But, unfortunately, the people implicated in this plot are in fact Muslim radicals. The same way you can find Jewish radicals, Christian radicals & Secular radicals. Also, when I say, conservative, may be I should have said, centrist. Same way Obama is kind of centrist when it comes to national security, which I applaud him for. Because many people continue to think that there is no real danger, and so Obama should dismantle all security measures Bill Clinton & Bush put in place, just because, they did not like those presidents
Four men have been arrested over alleged plots to attack targets in New York, US prosecutors say.
The men were planning to blow up a Jewish synagogue in the Riverdale area of the Bronx, the district attorney said in a statement.
Looks like they were targeting the Jewish synagogue, so, the obvious conclusion would be that they are Muslim, even though their names does not sound so.
They were also plotting to shoot down military aircraft at Stewart Airport, in Newburgh to the north of the city.
The group intended to use Stinger surface-to-air missiles to bring the planes down, the statement said.
They say, they were angered by the Afghan war, they started plotting this starting in June 2008.
According to prosecutors, Mr Cromitie told an FBI informant in June 2008 that he was angry over the US-led war in Afghanistan.
He "expressed an interest in 'doing something to America'".
From October 2008, the informant began meeting him regularly along with the four others at a house in which the FBI had concealed video and audio equipment.
Keep your eyes open Obama. Despite continued criticism, many of us stand with you in your security efforts.
