The guy is credible and oversaw over 1,000 interrogations and personally conducted over 300 while he was in Iraq. He also lead the team that made the biggest score of all, the capture of Al Qaeda's #1 man in Iraq, Abu Masab al-Zarqawi.

According to Matthew Alexander (pseudonym for security reasons), torture isn't necessary and is responsible for 100's if not 1,000's of deaths. 90% of suicide bombers were motivated by the United States' torturing Muslims. He says they heard over and over again from foreign detainees being interrogated they were motivated to go to Iraq to fight Americans because we tortured Muslims.

Cheney's high profile interviews are going to backfire on both he and all those supportive of torture. The more he goes on TV the deeper he digs the hole that will be used to bury him.
