Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

Analyzing the analysis: DHS's right wing extremists report
The recent DHS report entitled: "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" has nothing to do with protecting our country from the current threat of terrorism. It has everything to do with gathering information on people and groups who oppose the Obama regime in Washington.
...
Issues such as abortion, illegal immigration, and gay marriage are defined as "Rightwing extremism" in other sections of the document.
...
The Bush Administration used it's powers of surveillance to spy on real terrorists who posed a threat to our country and our citizens. The Obama Administration doesn't seem to be interested in spying on foreign Islamic terrorists who pose a real threat to our country and citizens. Who will the Obama Administration be using DHS surveillance to spy on?
My suggestion? Operation Rescue. You know, the organization with a convicted abortion clinic bomber as a Senior Policy Advisor.

Chorus of Protest Grows Over Report Warning of Right Wing Radicalization
The government considers you a terrorist threat if you oppose abortion, own a gun or are a returning war veteran.

Herb London, president of the Hudson Institute, a Washington-based think tank, said DHS' latest report "clearly appears to censor right-wing opinion," while its earlier assessment of left-wing extremists does not.
...
"What is the message here? That conservative organizations are not permitted to engage in any language that might be described as unfavorable to the president," London said. "Keep in mind this is entirely subjective to begin with."
Mr. London. Do you understand the message now? The message was, and is, quite clear- right wing extremists, individuals dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion, are likely to commit violent acts, like the assassination of a doctor in his church. Can you hear me now?

Homeland Security Report equates 'abortion opponents' with white supremacists
According to a Homeland Security Report distributed to law enforcement organizations, abortion opponents are as great a threat to national security in the immediate future as white supremacists.
Actually, the report did not specifically say "threat to national security," but rather "terrorist attacks" or "lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks." Yup. They were right, too.

Oliver North Comments on the DHS "Rightwing Extremism'" Report: I Am an Extremist
By Oliver North
According to the U.S. Government, I am an extremist.

Notably, the report includes a warning that Rightwing Extremism "may include groups or individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

Thirteen lines after this egregious, unconscionable slander against those of us who are military combat veterans, DHS makes the stunning charge that, "lone wolves and small terrorist cells embracing violent rightwing extremist ideology are the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States."
That charge doesn't seem so stunning today, does it?

Homeland Security Head Defends Abortion Reference in 'Extremism' Report
The head of the Department of Homeland Security on Sunday defended the inclusion of pro-life supporters in the agency's report that identifies possible terrorist threats, saying there have been extremist groups within the abortion debate that "have committed violent acts."
Over the past week, many conservatives have lashed out at the report for lumping pro-lifers with rightwing extremists.
Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice called the pro-life reference an "outrageous characterization."

Thomas More Law Center, a Christian-based law firm, is suing Napolitano over the report on behalf of Michael Savage, a nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host; Gregg Cunningham, president of the pro-life organization Center for Bio-Ethical Reform; and Iraqi War Marine veteran Kevin Murray.
The lawsuit claims that Napolitano’s Department has violated the First and Fifth Amendment Constitutional rights of these three plaintiffs by attempting to chill their free speech, expressive association, and equal protection rights.
Hey Thomas More Law Center! Did you file that suit in Federal Court? If so, you might want to familiarize yourself with Rule 11, before it's too late.

Homeland Security Targets Abortion Opposition as Warning Sign of "Rightwing Extremism"
A report summary issued by the Department of Homeland Security to local law enforcement officials across the country targets abortion opposition, among other normative conservative viewpoints, as symptomatic of a potentially violent "rightwing extremism."
"Even though we were kind of concerned that this might happen, I would say this report was still pretty shocking," Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women of America (CWA), told LifeSiteNews.com (LSN) today.
...
"It’s disturbing that the writers of the report consider people who want to protect innocent life from violent deaths as potential terrorists," said Wright.
...
Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute (PRI), objected to the document, saying, "The pro-life movement is the largest, most peaceful movement in the history of the United States."
I mean, who could imagine labeling people who bomb clinics and shoot doctors as anything other than peaceful? What did "Pray Daily America" have to say after Dr. Tiller's assassination? They link a video of Randall Terry and say:
We are saddened to hear that abortionist George Tiller was killed today. It was a "pro-choice" act (like Obama and Pelosi push) that killed Tiller - definitely not pro-life. Pro-life is for all life, unborn and born.
...
Sadly, there is no evidence of Tiller calling on Jesus Christ, the Savior, to save him for his sins. Was Tiller's conscience hardened to God? If so, that is a dangerous state (Romans 1).
...
On the otherhand, God promises that the righteous (those who call on Jesus Christ to forgive and save them) are with the Lord forever (2 Corinthians 5:8).
I wonder which one they consider "the righteous" in this scenario? No. Not really. I know.

Opposed To Abortion? Government Report Labels You A "RightWing Extremist"
Is our federal government now trying to say that groups like 40 Days For Life, that oppose abortion are on some terrorist watch list?
Nope. It's saying that people who murder doctors and bomb clinics, and those who support them, are on that list.

Confirmed: The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real
In Obama land, there are no coincidences. It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.
Well sure, that's obvious. After all, it's not like there is any real reason to fear an individual dedicated to a single issue, like abortion, might go out and kill somebody. You caught us, Michelle. It's all about you.
After all, who could have predicted that a lone wolf focused on a single issue like abortion would assassinate a doctor?
