I just finished watching the "interview" of Governor Palin on Today, the one question which screamed out to me when she made the comment (and this is a rough transcription from the video, I couldnt find the transcript online)
(Her comment comes at 4:29 of the video,I transcripted it once, but lost it along the way. If someone has the transcript I will gladly post it and give credit.)
Well I call bullshit on this one Sarah P. Follow below the fold for my response and rant.
Here is the video in question:
You see President (not Mr. Obama as I see many news outlets referring to him as)Obama did not go around pushing Malia and Sasha to the front of the campaign. President Obama did not force Malia to go out on a speaking tour about teen sex. You did Governor Palin. You sent your "knocked up", single teenage mom out there preaching the virtues of Abstinence Only education.
You did it. You brought this upon yourself, and NOW you want to take the moral high ground?
Anyone who has watched that Letterman clip can see yes, the joke was in bad taste. Yes, it did step over the line. But anyone with a brain can see he was talking about the daughter who actually got knocked up, not the 14 year old. I know I did.
You know (I sincerely hope you read this Governor) there was a moment there when I felt sincerely upset over that joke. Really, I felt it was over the line. But you have over played your hand so far, it is now just a sad comment on you as a poll driven ego-maniac whos 15 minutes is almost up.
I feel sorry for your daughters. I hope they can become educated enough one day to realize what a sycophant you are and can grow to become independent intelligent women. As I wish for my own gorgeous daughter.
UPDATE: Why the hell is it we can think on the top of our head the most damning replies to the rights assertions during interviews, and yet the so called "professional" interviews ask softball questions and never call them on their BS?
