Andrew Sullivan(The Atlantic), Nico Pitney(Huffingtonpost), Matthew Weaver and Daniel Nasaw(The Guardian) have taken blogging to another level in their coverage of the Iranian elections.
Their sources are incredibly vast; e-mails, twitters, blogs, newspapers, TV and Radio, YouTube and many, many more. Their reports include news, views, analysis and commentaries in text, audio and video formats. Yes, some of the information may not be fully reliable, but that is expected in coverage of a rapidly changing and fluid event. Most impressively, their blogging has a good cleanup process; wild and fishy information are thrown to a trashcan based on contrary but consistent data and information which are painstakingly accumulated. The traditional media is well and truly beaten.
