When Officer Stephen Johns' was murdered by a racist at the Holocaust Museum on June 10th, I inquired as to their (the museum) setting up a fund to assist this righteous man's family. mollyd diaried on one fund on June 12. The museum responded to me via e-mail with additional info, which I am providing after the fold.
What follows is the e-mail I received:
Thank you for contacting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to inquire about how you can send a gift to the family of Officer Johns.
The Museum has established the USHMM Officer Johns Family Fund to benefit our colleague’s family. One hundred percent of your gift will be forwarded directly to the family of Officer Johns. Please note that under IRS regulations gifts such as this are not tax-deductible.
Gifts can be made in any of the following ways:

There are no words to express our grief and shock over the loss of a cherished friend and exemplary colleague, who served as a Special Police Officer at the Museum for six years. He was a dedicated professional whose outgoing personality and warm smile will be deeply missed by his Museum family and all who knew him.
