A daily blog in defense of liberalism and the President.

Senator Jim Inhofe called Al Franken a clown.  I guess he really wants to sound like a distinguished gentleman?  Sadly if either of the two of them is a clown it is Inhofe who is a sad pathetic rightwing moron who denies global warming and says it’s the liberals who are racist.  It isn’t surprising he is from Oklahoma, I know people from their and smarts are not their number one priority, actually I’ve heard pocket knives are the most important thing in Oklahoma.  This is the same jerk-off who called President Obama Un-American for his speech in Cairo, and will vote no on Sotomayor because, well I don’t really know, I guess because he’s afraid of Latin women.  It is Senators like Inhofe who make people believe government can’t work because they do everything in their power to undermine the Federal Government, and make sure it doesn’t.  I know that Al Franken will be polite and respectful to Inhofe, but I really wish he’d trip the bastard as he walked by and then say something like, "sorry I have large clown shoes" as he stepped over him.

I saw a report which said that 52% of Americans believe that North Korea is a "Real Threat" to America.  I’m sorry but I don’t believe for one moment that 52% of Americans could even find North Korea on a map nor tell me who their leader was.  Maybe if they feel afraid however it will get some Americans to actually GOOGLE North Korea and learn something, but I fear that is way too much to ask.

Today is a short little blog, my brother-in-law new baby came into this crazy world, so I come to the Philosopher of the Week, Henry David Thoreau who said, "Generally speaking, a howling wilderness does not howl: it is the imagination of the traveler that does the howling."  Always remember to keep your fear in check, it can be anyone’s undoing.  Thoreau also wrote, "Goodness is the only investment that never fails."  I find a statement as beautiful as that speaks for itself.  Well friends until tomorrow goodbye...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
