I love the Rachel Maddow Show and watch it every night. Frankly, sometimes I watch it again when it comes back around on the TV machine.
So it is with much sadness that I must inform you that tonight I will be switching the show off the moment "Uncle" Pat Buchanan is introduced.
(I will be taking this action whenever he comes on, on any show, but it only comes with sadness when it is Rachel -- Keith Olbermann apparently wisely made sure in his contract negotiations that he doesn't have to employ Buchanan's "services.")
I am but one person, but perhaps if enough commenters below indicate they will join me in this personal action, you might actually hear us.
PS. Every sane person in this country recognizes the insult and humiliation you are subjecting Eugene Robinson (and all of us) to when you force him to sit next to Buchanan and listen to and try to counteract his racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic crap. For that alone, you have negated the goodwil your network gains among liberals and progressives with its nighttime lineup. Shame!
Update: Keone Michael published a diary while I was writing mine, which I didn't become aware of until this one had 37 comments. So I don't want to now delete what others have added to mine. But please check out Keone's take on the same sentiment.
