Im an ass. But, I need help on this. Please, please, please tell me this isn't real. I was checking out yahoo movies to see if anything was coming up I'd wanna go see. Apparently, there's this Sundance winning film I never heard of. It's called The Cove. I thought it was a mockumentary. The critics gave it ratings like it was some sort of action movie. The filming is so good, it's not like the bad cam wavy things I'm used to when watching documentaries.
Now, one of my favorite shows on cable is Whale Wars. Im an action type of person. I think talking and debating on subjects is OK in a real democracy, but we dont live in one of those. We live in pay for play. Im not rich enough to make people change the way they make money. My option is action. I love Paul Watson for what he does. My action is active resistance. Or as MLK and Ghandi showed, passive resistance. What ever is more effective.
But, this cant be real. I want you guys to look up the movie, The Cove. Taiji, Japan. Dolphin Slaughter. I have to say it again, this cant be really happening. Dolphins slaughtered and posed as whale meat? Sold as free lunch to Japanesse school children? Contaminated with Mercury? Dolphins still captured and sold to the Sea Worlds of the world? I thought this was banned long ago. Hell, I still dont eat Tuna because of how the Dolphins were caught in the nets and that was in the 1980's. Theres alot more important issues than this like universal Health Care and ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. But, this blew me away. Blew me away more than the scandals of torture. More than assasination squads. I know how evil we are to each other. But, we know about this, it was never really a secret. It was more of something we didnt want to know. I saw a film about the mass graves and war crimes of Afghanistan like 6 months after it happened, this is happening right now. I thought we were better than this.
Please tell me this movie isnt real.
