The Food and Drug Administration said Monday it approved vaccines for the upcoming 2009-2010 seasonal influenza season in the U.S.
This is seasonal and not pandemic flu vaccine. That's a different kettle of fish, altogether. Seasonal vaccine will be offered early, and pandemic H1N1 vaccine will (probably) then follow. The decision to give pandemic vaccine has not yet been made. Working out the mechanism for administering it is underway. Stay tuned.
