A Fox News (R) producer has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the possession of child pornography. Authorities arrested the producer, Aaron Bruns, after investigators said he had been sharing the child porn on a social networking website.
The AP reports Bruns was sentenced earlier today in U.S. District Court in Washington. Apparently, this was not the first time that the fox news perp was convicted for something like this. Prosecutors had recommended his 10 year sentence citing Bruns' prior conviction on similar charges. This is also not the first time fox news has been embroiled in sex-related scandals. The channel's biggest star, Bill O'Reilly, paid millions of dollars in a sex harassment suit that was brought against him by a female subordinate who he allegedly tried to molest.
Bruns had been a producer with the Republican news channel for over six years. Fox news fired Bruns three days after his arrest after realizing how bad his conviction was for their image. Judging by it, I don't think there is anything that can do further damage to fox's image.
