So, as of tomorrow, Sarah Palin’s resignation will finally be official.
Unfortunately for her rivals for leadership of the Republican Party (Limbaugh, Liddy, Beck), and for the GOP Presidential nomination in 2012 (Jindal, Sanford) none of them fully recognized the sheer genius of her move to quit her job, and followed suit.
Proving that none of them is as smart as William Kristol.
So the other Republicans effectively handed the presidency to her on a silver platter. But that will have to wait until 2012-2013.
In the interim, there’s a lot of money to be made from Palin’s long-awaited memoir.
As a friendly gesture, in the best spirit of bipartisanship (that is, to help ensure she rakes in enough dough from her admirers to be a high-profile presence on the campaign trail for GOP candidates in 2010 and 2012), I thought it might be a nice to offer her some thoughts on catchy memoir subtitles.
You know. Memoirs often have catchy, meaningful subtitles. For instance, Gandhi’s autobiography was subtitled: The Story of My Experiments with Truth – a subtitle that Sarah could actually appropriate directly (without citation, of course).
So here are 11 proposed subtitles (posted with the hope that it might inspire even better ones!):
Sarah Palin:
- It Takes a Pipeline
- Building Bridges
- Youbetcha!
- Where’s the Rest of My Term?
- Never Say Quit!
- Shopgirl
- Drilling the Lower ‘49
- Getting Back to You on That
- Freedom, Liberty, Flags, Patriotism, Oil Security, God, Country, Family, Abstinence, Field Dressing Moose, the War on Terror, the Nasty Media, and Other Things – Reflections as of February
- Advances from Another Direction (7-Figure Advances!)
And the title that I think best captures the essence of Palin, as she sees herself:
- A Beautiful Mind, Also
Any other helpful suggestions for the Governor?
