CBO Deflates Medicare Council Proposal
Congressional Budget Office reports Saturday that highly touted White House plan for an advisory panel would not drastically cut health care costs in the short term.
Director Elmendorf: "In CBO's judgment, the probability is high that no savings would be realized..."
This is Embarrasing. First we learn that the bill the house put up will increase costs of healthcare over the long term instead of cutting them.
Now we learn that a key provision that the Blue Dogs have been wringing our nuts about wont even reduce the costs anyway?
I dont understand why the commities dont include the CBO in the actual ideas beforre the craft a bill. Why not ask the CBO what will actually reduce costs and then choose from the ideas that they give?
This is getting ridiculas!
